From black and white to covetable structured classics, there is a lot to be admired and inspired by right now; however, I find myself struck on a specific look. I can’t get over the simplicity and elegance of black and white, although I rarely find myself sticking to the uniform, for better or worse. Point is, these girls kill it.

If any outfits or trends have made me wonder where the hell designers get their ideas, it’s the trends this spring. I am dumbfounded. Do the top 10 designers sit in a room, with a couple boxes of pizza, do some drugs, giggle about the weirdest ideas they can come up with, and then sketch them to life? It sure seems like it. Since when is it appropriate to wear sneakers with literally anything? And not just cute vans-like semi-feminine sneakers, […]

I spent a solid six months obsessed with black and white. I was devoted to the idea that nothing was attractive unless it was mainly black and white. All black can be very trendy, but there’s another angle. Yes, black is elegant. Flattering. Black is gorgeous, as is white. Simplicity can allow one’s true beauty to shine. If a girl is wearing all black and has a beautiful face, bam, you’re really seeing that beautiful face. Nothing about her outfit […]
It’s sort of shocking how popular sneakers are right now. In some ways it completely makes sense. They’re comfortable… It’s also really interesting exactly how they’re being worn. Women are pairing sneakers with fancy trousers. It’s fascinating. Now all the most beautiful brands are coming out with jaw-dropping sneakers. Here are my favorites.
Although Isabel Marant continues to sell her sneaker wedges successfully, she’s a bit turned off by all the knock offs. She originated the sneaker wedge and people still crave the original; however, she’s not planning on incorporating the style into her line for next fall. She is still coming out with sneakers, but now with a different look. Check out her athletic shoes for next fall! I’m into it.
“Wearing the Principle 6 merchandise will help uphold the Olympic principle of inclusion and underscore that Russia’s anti-LGBT discrimination is incompatible with the Olympic movement. The proceeds from sale of the clothing will support the Principle 6 campaign and go directly to lesbian, gay, bi and trans (LGBT) advocacy groups in Russia fighting discrimination and anti-gay laws.” (principle6.org) Consequently, Alexander Wang has come out with a black cashmere P6 beanie. This beanie has been seen on fans, celebrities, and athletes. […]
Add chic sandals to a simple outfit or color block a rich shade with neutrals. Drape a blazer/coat in a great fabric over your shoulders or rock a brimmed hat. Tactfully combine dressy and casual or exploit the beauty of understated outerwear. (whowhatwear.com)

There are many, many things I love in life, but this one thing in particular, I dream about far too much. Literally, DREAM. Dream. I. Love. Céline. Let’s celebrate this magnificent designer here and now. Classic, simple, opulent, and undeniably timeless. Indulge yourself visually in the lap luxury. I introduce you to my best friend. My heart. My inspiration. The love of my life. Pure charm and refinement.
If you can’t wait for Valentines Day, treat yourself just a little bit early! On February 9th Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos come out with a collaboration for Target. The duo want to partner the luxury and grandeur of their line with a much broader audience. This collaboration will also be available at Net-a-Porter.com, and everything will be under $80. YES! If I was a billionaire, I would live here. These Prabal Gurung floral t-shirts above and featured in the photos with the red bike really stole the show for me at Kirna Zabete. I hadn’t heard of the designer before, but now I just really, really, really want to wear his shirts for the rest of my life. Located on Broome St. in Soho. Email me if you have any questions, or just to let me know what you think! : […]

First and foremost, Project Gravitas is exceptional. If you haven’t heard of Project Gravitas, get ready to be blown away. I had the honor of meeting founder and CEO Lisa Sun in NYC this weekend, and I’m so impressed by her essential and unique concept. Lisa and her team have designed a line of knockout dresses with a visionary mission in mind. The Project Gravitas team knows that how a woman feels shapes her day. How we present ourselves, whether […]

I’m extraordinarily lucky to have such a fashionable family. One sibling in particular, Olivia Furano, is truly admirable in her stylistic choices. Although all of my sisters dress beautifully, Olivia is most prone to taking risks. She has this stunning way about her of looking like she hardly cares at all, yet she remains classic and put together. I happen to currently live in one of the coldest places in the United States, but I know for many Californians, life […]

For my entrance project to FIDM’s Merchandise Marketing program, I was instructed to create a hypothetical store, describe my typical customer in nitty gritty detail, and then design five different looks displaying the clothing that my store will carry. (My hypothetical customers love “SoulCycle, hiking, and working”) I chose to design a very high-end boutique based off of Elyse Walker in the Pacific Palisades. Elyse Walker is one of my favorite stores in LA. If you haven’t been there, you […]

After a wild all-nighter at the Camarillo Premium Outlets in Southern California, I found myself exhausted and dazed the next morning. A close friend who recently switched from Kitson to Saks Fifth Avenue texted me a couple days before with some ridiculously cute pictures of the 3.1 Phillip Lim bags out right now. Consequently, in my post Thanksgiving/Black Friday stupor, I started to look at purses online for the first time. Not in a Pinterest sort of way, but in a […]
